When looking to achieve BIG GOALS – your MINDSET is everything.

It is virtually impossible to reach your goals and dreams if you hang on to any self-doubt or do not step outside your comfort zone.  Negative thoughts and actions will always cancel out your good intentions.  They will weigh you down and stop you in your tracks.

But by letting go of your limiting beliefs, changing your self-image and releasing negative emotions like – fear, resentment, anger, guilt and shame, you will see all of your efforts make more of an impact on your progress towards your goals and success.  The great news is – with affirmations you can break free of the confines of your comfort zone.

First you must realise that you have infinite potential within you and there is nothing truly holding you back.  You can create any reality you can imagine, the only thing ever holding you back is YOU.

By continually thinking the same thoughts, maintaining the same beliefs and speaking the same words and taking the exact same actions over and over again, you continually re-create the same results and experiences.  So if you want to change this cycle, first you must change your thoughts.

Focus your thinking on what you do want to create by changing the way you talk, the way you write, the way you behave.  By sending positive messages to your brain, your subconscious is better able to manifest this new reality in your life.

A very powerful way to change your negative self-talk is through the use of positive AFFIRMATIONS.  An affirmation is a statement that describes your goal in its already completed state.  Such as:

“I am so happy and grateful now that I am earning $120,000 in new income”

“I am so happy and grateful now that I express myself both honestly and confidently”

Write out your affirmations, one for each goal you have, and read them 1-3 times per day.   Read them out loud, then close your eyes and visualise yourself as the affirmation describes.

See it as if you are seeing the scene from inside yourself as if you are actually living that experience now.  Be aware of your surroundings in your visualisation, use all your senses – hear any sounds that you might associate with your affirmation, applause from a crowd, the sound of that new car, waves breaking on the beach, the smell of brand new leather seats, or mountain pine, the heaviness of that rock on your finger, that feeling in the pit of your stomach when you take-off on a plane.

Get the picture!  Now really feel the feelings you would feel when you achieve that success.  The stronger the feelings the more powerful the process.

Repeat these steps for each of your affirmations.   Always state your affirmations in a positive way.

“I am experiencing this positive thing”

and not

“I am not experiencing this negative thing”.

So instead of saying

“I am no longer working all the time and feeling constantly stressed out”

“I am so happy and grateful now that I enjoy quality time with friends and family while feeling healthy and energized”

Remember to always focus on what you WANT and not what you don’t want.  So when you have written your affirmations for each of your goals, use the visualization technique to really anchor these goals into your mind.
